Party in the Park
On January 31, 2013, more than 200 supporters, gathered at Celsius at Bryant Park for the inaugural "Party in the Park". This inaugural event raised more than $110,000 for pancreatic cancer research.
The evening included exciting auction and raffle prizes. Fabulous entertainment was provided by a mentalist and mines. Scott Nelson, an 8-year pancreatic cancer survivor was The Lustgarten Foundation’s guest speaker. Scott opened the night with a moving speech of promise and progress.
This year, The Lustgarten Foundation has committed $25 million in new research grants bringing our total pancreatic cancer research funding to more than $65 million! The research initiatives and clinical trials are focused primarily on developing early detection methods and better therapeutic options, and testing them with patients. It’s with the incredible support of people like you, that these initiatives are possible.
We would like to thank everyone who so generously supported Party in the Park. We look forward to seeing you next year!
