Wet Lab

When you think of scientific research, you’re likely imagining a wet lab. Featuring sinks, hoods and other safety equipment, wet labs are where scientists do experiments using different drugs, chemicals cells or other biological matter. Meanwhile, a “dry lab” generally refers to the types of experiments and analysis that can be done in computers using existing data and computational or mathematical methods.
