gptest Walk for Research

Walk with Us!

Our Walk for Research event series is your primary opportunity to fundraise and donate in support of pancreatic cancer research and to joining thousands of others from across the country who have accepted the challenge to defeat this disease.

100% of donations to our walks go directly to pancreatic cancer research and help to make the Lustgarten Foundation the largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. You donations and fundraising drive the research that translates into earlier detection and new, more effective treatmentS which impacts patient’s lives in real-time.

What is a “Virtual Walk”?

Great question! It is easy think of a Walk for Research as just a physical walk, but the primary purpose of these events is to raise the funds that will defeat this disease. To support that mission, it is important that the fundraising event continue even when conditions on the ground prevent us from hosting the physical event. This is where virtual walks come in!

A virtual walk is a fundraising event centered around a physical challenge that participants take on where they want and when they want! These events can include walks in your own neighborhoods or recommended routes in parks. You can run or walk or skip; complete all at once or in sections; walk alone or walk with friends and family in safe, small groups. At the end of the day, a virtual walk is about a community committed to a shared challenge that we all complete… together, apart!
