Welcome to our New York Area Pancreatic Cancer Research Walks! We’re so glad you’re here.
Usually, our series of New York walks include some of our biggest and best fundraising events of the year. Usually, you would join hundreds of patients, survivors, family, friends and other supporters, for an inspiring day of hope, love and, yes, tears.
This year, however, there is no normal thanks to COVID-19 and we will be unable to hold our spring NY area walks in person. And while we would always rather walk together, we are excited to walk #TogetherAlone as our New York City, Brooklyn and Westchester Walks go virtual.
On Sunday, July 12, you can skip the train and forget about parking. Instead, lace up your sneakers and head to the sidewalk outside your apartment, the neighborhood block, your own backyard or even your hallway, and join thousands of other New Yorkers stepping up for pancreatic cancer research.
As a virtual walker, you can still show your neighborhood pride by registering for New York City, Brooklyn or Westchester. The funds you raise will be counted toward that market goal; however, every penny you raise will ultimately go to change lives through research.
The Lustgarten Foundation has been hard hit by cancelled fundraising events and decreased donations from economic insecurity. We’re counting on you to help us raise the critical funds necessary to keep pancreatic cancer research on pace for discovering earlier detection methods and newer, more effective treatment options.
LET’S DO THIS!
