Welcome to the Lustgarten Foundation’s Syracuse Walk, where thousands of people affected by pancreatic cancer join forces to raise critical funds and awareness in the fight against this devastating disease.
Due to the continued risk of COVID-19 and required safety measures, this year’s Syracuse Walk will be a little different. Instead of our usual in-person event on Saturday, October 3rd, we’re inviting you to join us for our first Virtual Walk. While we can’t all walk together like we have in years past, one thing that hasn’t changed is our ability to walk unified in our commitment to defeating pancreatic cancer.
Even though we can’t be together in person this year, we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you reach your fundraising goals and to connect you with other virtual walkers on Saturday, October 3rd via social media.
Check out out resources pages for more information and additional tips and resources. And don’t forget to follow us on social media (@LustgartenFDN) so you can see and share images from your event.
What is a Virtual Walk? Simply put, a virtual walk is a symbolic, online fundraising event. As a virtual walker, you’ll go for a walk on your own or with a small group of family and friends on the same day and time as other participants but in different locations—such as your neighborhood, a local park or other public spaces. And regardless of where you walk, you’ll still be providing #HopeFromHome by raising critical funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research.
